NU Slams Frogs

It was nice to see Nebraska hold off a good opponent and pull away for a 90-77 victory Saturday over TCU. This is the same TCU squad that had lost a close one, 69-65, earlier this week at Arizona State. NU put five men in double figures, led by Brian Diaz with 22 points. Diaz found it easier to contribute to the cause in games where his front two teeth weren't smashed back into his mouth.

Brandon Richardson chipped in 15 points and four steals. Hopefully, he'll play consistently enough that he can gain confidence and contribute in every. The Huskers need more of his smooth athleticism when they play upper-level competition. Sek Henry had 11 points, 11 assists, seven rebounds, three steals and two blocks--nice numbers for the senior, who must give consistent play given all of the newcomers on the roster. It's apparent Lance Jeter isn't quite ready to save the day (isn't he why they told Cookie Miller to leave), after his three-point, one-assist effort.

Ryan Anderson was his usual solid but unspectacular self, with 15 points and Quincy Hankins-Cole had 10 points in just 12 minutes.

PYB is hoping that ESPN Full Court has its act together tomorrow, so that we can get our first look at the squad on television and offer more complete analysis. The Cornhuskers take on the UMKC Kangaroos.
