Friday Thoughts....

Random thoughts of the day:

1. Why isn't the national media raving about Tim Tebow's tremendous performance against Tennessee? 14/19 for 115 yards. Five yards an attempt. Fucking pathetic, but somehow this is not mentioned at all as a Heisman-losing performance. Three games into 2009, he has 648 yards of total offense. So much for the Jaguars' and Skip Bayless' great idea of him as an NFL quarterback. A future as an MLB knuckleball pitcher is much more likely. But what a leader! To quote Thom Brennaman, "To spend even five minutes with Tebow is to become a better person for it."

2. Another hated sports term.....'slide piece' when referring to a slider in baseball. The guys in the dugout can get away with this, but when baseball roto-geeks mix it into their lingo (Karl Ravech) it is simply disgusting.
