Money Monday

PYB offers up Monday's Money Song of the Day (don't get too hooked on this, but we're offering this up since we'll have another hiatus while on the road again this week). Another AM radio classic from the 1980s, for your listening pleasure while listing our thoughts on the Masters:

1. At age 21, Rory McIlroy can stand up and answer questions like a man after blowing the tournament and shooting 80, but Tiger Woods can't treat interviewers with common courtesy regarless of the circumstance. He's 35, by the way, and you'd figure he would be humbled at least a tad by being exposed as a fraud and a bad person. Guess not. It does, however, make his Sunday back-nine choke job sweeter....

2. Admittedly, Charl Schwartzel's victory was a bit disappointing, as we were rooting for almost anyone besides he and Woods to win: Cabrera, Choi, Scott, Day, etc. But if Eldrick didn't win....we are leaving happy...

3. Woods can't putt, and it cost him the tournament. He made a couple on the front nine, which proved to be blips on the radar. Maybe next year. And quit slowing up the whole fucking tournament by standing over every putt for two minutes.

4. Does creepy Jim Nantz like saying "Hello Friends" or "Welcome, Sir Nick Faldo" more these days?

5. Was there anything funnier than watching Master Chairman Billy Payne fake smile while Hideki Matsuyama interviewed with his interpreter in Japanese? Can't imagine the old guard at Augusta liked a non-English speaking Japanese player taking up their gestapo-run air time. Perhaps they took solace in the fact that Schwartzel hails from South Africa....

6. Apparently Logan Ehlers is not the remedy to cure all the ills for the Nebraska baseball team. He had a tough first outing at KU, but kept Mike Anderson's squad on track by helping NU lose two out of three games in a conference series for the umpteenth time in three years. Swing the axe, TO, or retire.

That's it for now.....we'll try to check in from the road. If not, hopefully RunLike provides you with some suitable songs of the day this week.....
