If you see a ridiculous quote when reading about NU football, chances are offensive coordinator Shawn Watson said it.
In the last three weeks we have:
1. Cody Green is an 'average runner in terms of speed.'
2. Zac Lee was 'perfect' today, when he missed at least seven wide open receivers by five yards and threw three INTs against Iowa State. Not to mention he went 20/37 passing.
3. The famous 'Did you play the game?' reply to a reporter who had the nerve to question his offensive philosophy, which has racked up 17 points combined the last two weeks against Texas Tech and Iowa State. This is the same Texas Tech team that gave up 539 yards to Texas A&M, who had been one of the nation's worst teams to that point.
4. Niles (Paul) had a fluke thing happen to him....apparently flukes can happen in two straight games and cost your team both of them. After viewing the TT play for the first time last nite, the fact that he didn't try to recover the ball shows a complete lack of field awareness and football IQ.
