Here is hoping that Doc is about ready to get this program over the hump. Honestly, the Cornhuskers will never get a better coach to take this job--one who can recruit, manage the floor and likes the university enough to stay more than two years. If Doc can't get it done in Lincoln, NU will flounder in mediocrity for years to come. Except for a few years under Danny Nee (where he raked in some talent and won games despite horrible in-game coaching), this program has been in idle for 30+ years. Even when Nee had his top teams, we knew that his lack of organization and discipline would prevent them from making a real impact on the national scene. Anyone who says Sadler is not a great coach either knows nothing about basketball (a strong possibility for anyone living in Nebraska) or is not a bright person. Let's hope the results start coming this season--as anyone who can crush more Diet Mountain Dew than I can is a stud in my book.
