PYB vs. OWH Banter....

In response to an e-mail PYB sent to Tom Shatel on his overzealous rating of Iowa's schedule this season:

Dave,

If the Fiesta Bowl wants to make nice with the Big 12, that's fine. Just admit that. But don't tell me OSU's schedule is better. I cover the Big 12. I see these teams. It's not. I'm also tired of the Big 12 South hype. Would it be terrible if OSU went to the Fiesta Bowl? No. They're a good team. But more deserving than Iowa? No. That's my point.

Tom,
Tell me you aren't serious when you say you like Iowa's win over Penn State better than anything on OSU's resume? Penn State is terrible. They had the nation's biggest creampuff schedule and then got blasted by the two decent (barely decent) teams they played in Iowa and Ohio State.

So you want to persecute Okie St. for a meager win versus a perennial national power (UGA) from the SEC, but then fail to mention that Iowa beat Northern Iowa by one point and Arkansas State by just three? And lost to Northwestern with everything on the line.

Come on, I know newspaper sales are down but not even the OWH's Western Iowa market could take this seriously!
