Anyone who was 'blessed' enough to watch Ohio battle Buffalo last night got a reminder of why Frank Solich was entirely inept at Nebraska and why he got fired.
On their game-winning FG drive (against a seven-loss Buffalo team), Ohio got to 3rd and 2. Just like EVERY short-yardage situation at NU, Solich called a timeout. Right out of the timeout, he called a dive up the middle that got stuffed for one yard. So what's next, Husker fans? OF COURSE, another timeout to discuss the 4th and 1 play. Right out of the timeout, option that gained the first down. Then the very next play, another timeout to prevent a delay of game penalty. Welcome to college, Rat, you're not at Lincoln Southeast anymore! And if you didn't have Turner Gill's squad to beat up on, you'd get fired at Ohio too!
